Certification is available to both water and wastewater laboratory analysts. Along with examination requirements, the following education and experience requirements must be met:
| Lab Analyst Certification Requirements | ||
|---|---|---|

| Class I | High school diploma, GED, or equivalent | 1 year of acceptable experience |
| Class II | High school diploma, GED, or equivalent | 3 years of acceptable experience |

Along with meeting the education and experience requirements, the lab analyst must pass the ABC Lab Analyst Certification Exam or equivalent exam with a score of 70% or higher. For more information about the examination, please refer to Examination Resources.
